Todd Biderman
Board Member
Todd brings nearly 20 years of experience across a diverse range of social and ecological justice and rights-based community development initiatives. His previous roles include work with Sierra Club BC, Silva Forest Foundation, and CUSO. As PPP’s West Papua Program Lead (2009–2013), and later as Co-Coordinator with the UK-based TAPOL, Todd worked with local NGOs in West Papua to strengthen organizational capacity, document and raise awareness of systemic human rights and socio-ecological issues, and amplify grassroots-led approaches to social change. He strongly believes in the transformative power of social movements and has worked with Indigenous and civil society partners and coalitions across Canada, Indonesia, Europe, and beyond.
Born in London, Ontario, Todd moved to Victoria in 1998 to study at the University of Victoria and explore the spectacular ecosystems of coastal BC, which has been his home base ever since. Todd lives on the unceded Lekwungen Territory in Victoria with his partner, two children, and their dog, Sam. He holds a second-degree black belt in Aikido and enjoys playing disc golf and guitar, as well as spending time with family and friends sharing food, cooking, and laughter.
